Global Approaches locates site for new S/W, F/W and ASIC Design Center in Costa Rica.Global Approaches was chosen to provide consulting services to locate and set up a build up plan for an R&D Design center in Latin America which could ramp up to 150 engineers over three years. Costa Rica was the final selection providing an optimal blend of available engineering talent, competitive costs and high levels of collaboration with US sites. Global Approaches also located an initial in-country core engineering staff who were in place by January, 2008. Global Approaches was chosen based on its proven track record of over 20 years outsourcing world wide including in Latin America. Global Approaches at Latin American ConferenceGuy Hall delivered a paper for the Latin American Conference on Informatics (CLEI) conference in October, 2007. CLEI is the most important Latin American forum in which scientists, researchers, professionals and students exchange ideas and share research results in Computer Sciences and Informatics. The Congress includes several activities such as technical sessions with presentations of research papers, forums, and discussion panels, as well as keynote speeches. The paper presented focus' on keys to building successful global virtual teams and is titled "Surviving and Thriving in Global Software Development Teams". |
